Northwest Naturals voluntarily recalled two raw chicken pet-food products after testing identified potential Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes contamination: a 2-pound frozen cat-food product and a 6-pound frozen raw dog-food product in specified lots.

FDA posted a voluntary recall of Breeder's Edge and Shelter's Choice feline milk replacers after testing found low levels of potassium, copper, folic acid, choline and/or pyridoxine (vitamin B6).

FDA posted an updated recall for one lot of Oma's Pride Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe, a frozen raw dog food, after a sample tested positive for Salmonella. The affected lot is BB012729. FDA says three dog illnesses were reported and no human illnesses had been reported as of the August 17 update.

FDA posted a nationwide recall of two Adequan Canine lots and two Adequan I.M. equine lots after glass fibers were found in retained product samples. The company reported no related adverse events at the time of the announcement and advised that affected lots should not be used.
